Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Mbale
Begin your Mount Elgon Hiking Tour Uganda adventure with a scenic journey from Kampala to Mbale, the gateway to eastern Uganda.
After breakfast, our professional guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala and begin the drive towards Mbale.
Along the way, you will pass through Mabira Forest and enjoy beautiful views of Uganda’s countryside. You will also have the opportunity to cross the River Nile Bridge near the source of the Nile.
During the joyrney after a lunch stop, continue your journey to Sipi Falls, where you will check into your booked accommodation. The drive from Kampala to Mbale and Sipi Falls takes approximately four to five hours.
Day 2: Mount Elgon Hiking, Forest and Cultural Walk
After an early breakfast at 6:30 AM, meet your guide and transfer to the Mount Elgon visitation centre, where your hiking experience begins.
As you countinue you adventure, explore the beautiful forest trails, enjoy breathtaking views, and discover the natural beauty surrounding Mount Elgon National Park.
Later in the afternoon, continue with a cultural walk where you will interact with local communities and learn about their traditions and way of life.
Finally, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Sipi Lodge, ending another memorable day of your Uganda adventure.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala. Enjoy the final views of eastern Uganda as you travel towards the city.
