Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you and provide a full briefing about your 6 Day Tanzania Safari. After your transfer to your hotel, relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park Safari

After breakfast, begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant elephant herds, iconic baobab trees and outstanding wildlife diversity.

Enjoy a full-day game drive while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, elands, hartebeests, lesser kudu, greater kudu and numerous bird species. Lucky visitors may also encounter leopards, spotted hyenas and African wild dogs.

After an exciting day, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, continue your 6 Day Tanzania Safari as you travel towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers spectacular scenery, traditional Maasai villages and endless wildlife viewing opportunities.

Before entering the Serengeti, you’ll visit an authentic Maasai community to learn about one of East Africa’s most iconic cultures. Continue with an afternoon game drive as you search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, baboons, hippos, antelopes and countless bird species that make the Serengeti one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations.

Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti National Park Safari

Wake up before sunrise for an unforgettable morning game drive across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Early morning offers the best opportunity to witness predators returning from their nightly hunts while herbivores begin grazing across the savannah.

After enjoying a bush breakfast, continue exploring different sections of the park in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and the spectacular Great Migration, depending on the season. Visit the Seronera Visitor Centre to learn about the park’s fascinating ecosystem before returning for lunch.

Later, enjoy another afternoon game drive when wildlife becomes active again. Guests may also choose a guided nature walk around the camp with experienced local guides who share fascinating insights into the surrounding plants, wildlife and conservation efforts.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and travel to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater Safari, one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Descend over 600 metres onto the crater floor for a full-day game drive. Thanks to its enclosed ecosystem, Ngorongoro supports one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Search for the Big Five, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards, together with zebras, hippos, flamingos, hyenas, jackals, gazelles and numerous bird species.

Following your afternoon game drive, ascend the crater and transfer to your lodge overlooking this breathtaking landscape.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Arusha Departure

Wake up early to enjoy one last spectacular sunrise over the Ngorongoro Highlands before breakfast. After checking out, begin your scenic drive back to Arusha, passing through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania.

Depending on your flight schedule, your safari guide will transfer you either to Arusha Airport for your domestic flight or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey home. This marks the end of your unforgettable 6 Day Tanzania Safari, leaving you with lifelong memories of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife, breathtaking scenery and remarkable safari experiences.
