Day 1
Arrive at Kanombe international airport, transfer to the booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.(full board)

Day 2
After early served breakfast, drive from the hotel and go for a city tour which includes the genocide memorial sites of Gisozi which takes up to 2hours. Learn about the culture the people of Rwanda, their way of living and the ways of living. After the memorial sites visit, proceed to one of the busiest markets in the city that is Kimilonko. Get a chance to shop starting from foodstuffs, art materials and eat one of Rwanda’s best meals “eshabwe” Also visit the Nyarutarama memorial site.

The guide will take you through the history of the people of Rwanda. Proceed to Kandt Richard historical museum with a rich history of the Germany colonialist administrator. The Richard Kandt museum was started in 1907. After lunch, visit Nyamata & Ntarama memorial sites. Make a stopover and have lunch as you learn the Rwanda genocide that led to mass killings in 1994. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.(full board)
Day 3
After served breakfast visit the Rusumo water fall before proceeding to Akagera national park. Rusumo waterfall is found on Akagera River and also the mother source of R.Nile on the boarder of Rwanda & Tanzania. Have lunch before proceeding to Akagera national park. Arrive at Akagera national in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4
Early morning after served breakfast, arrive at the park reception for a briefing before proceeding for a drive in the southern part of the park. Expect to see different animals for example elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, antelopes and African buffaloes. Also visit the magnificent lakes of Hugo, Ihama and Lake Ihema. Also take a boat ride as you enjoy seeing the aquatic animals. Visit lakes and get a chance to see butterflies, crocodiles and hippopotamus. A visit to Nyarabiyoro island gives the tourist an opportunity to spot most birds on the island. Return to the booked hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.(full board)

Day 5
After early served breakfast drive to the southern part of Lake Muhazi. Expect to see a herd of savannah elephants. The park also offers a spectacular view of florat fauna. (Full board)

Day 6
After served breakfast, check out of the hotel and visit local communities in Kigali. Get a chance to interact with local people of Rwanda, participate in community activities for example preparing traditional foods and milking. Also visit the school orphanages in the city. Take a stopover in Rwamagana for lunch and after proceed to the booked hotel for relaxation, dinner & overnight stay. (Full board)

Day 7
After early served breakfast proceed to the King’s place in Nyanza, learn about the kingdom of Rwanda and its people. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area for example the beauty of the famous grass thatched house. After lunch, the group will be entertained by the famous Rwanda traditional dancers i.e. Intore troupe at the museum. Spend the night in Butare area.

Day 8
After early served breakfast proceed to the Rwanda – Burundi boarder and enjoy. The beautiful scenery of the area. Also visit and interact with the local communities near and along the border as you may learn more important things about the culture and people of Rwanda. Arrive in Butare for lunch before proceeding to Nyangwe forest national park. Arrive at the booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (Full board)

Day 9
At 6:30 am after served breakfast; arrive at Lwinka reception for briefing and proceed to the park for chimpanzee tracking. Nyungwe forest national park is known as one of Rwanda’s favorite national parks for primate tracking. These include: chimps, l’hoest monkeys, velvet monkeys, black & white colobus monkey, red tailed monkey among others. After the tracking, return to the hotel for relaxation, dinner & overnight stay.(full board)

Day 10
After early served breakfast drive to lwinka reception before entering the forest for colobus monkey tracking. This activity includes hiking so visitors are all encouraged to carry with them enough drinking water. Walking through the dense forest will give the tourist that unforgettable experience as he/she gains knowledge from the experience guide. Return to the hotel for lunch, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 11
Aarly morning after early served breakfast; enter Nyungwe forest for a nature walk. The forest boosts of 260 tree species, herbs over 200 species of orchids and giant lobelias. Nyungwe National park also has over 27 bird species of which 25 are endemic, 13 recorded primate species and butterflies. Walking through the forest will give the tourist an unforgettable experience and the best memories to take back home. The ideal climate environment and the waterfalls. Make a stopover and take lunch. Return to the hotel in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12
After early breakfast, start the journey to the forest following the Karaba routes to track the mona monkeys. After tracking, drive to Kibuye arriving time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the genocide memorial church and stay overnight.

Day 13
At 6:30 am, after early served breakfast drive from Kibue to Gisenyi. Make a stopover at the tea plantations and also get a chance to view Lake Kivu & its beautiful scenery. Arrive in time for lunch. Check in at L kivu Serena hotel and in the evening swim at the lake as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area.

Day 14
Early morning after breakfast, arrive at the reception for briefing before tracking ma’s shy cousins spending the day with the gorillas is an unforgettable experience to every visitor who chooses Rwanda as their holiday destination. Return to the hotel in time for lunch (1 hour break) In the afternoon, visit the magnificient twin lakes of Burera & Ruhorido before returning to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 15
After breakfast arrive at the briefing point before entering the forest for golden monkey tracking. Expect to see other primates for example red tailed monkey, l’hoest monkey and grey cheeked mangabey among others. Visit a cultural village in the afternoon and learn about the rich history of the people of Rwanda before returning to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 16
After early served breakfast visit the Dian fossey grave at Karisoke research centre. She is known as the brave primatologist who dedicated all he rlife habituating the gorillas. She was however murdered in 1985. Despite her love for the great apes, she was buried in Volcanoes national park. Return to the hotel for lunch, afternoon relaxation and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 17
Early morning, report to the briefing point for instructions and guidelines before hiking Mt. Bishoke. The hike takes you 1 – 2 hours and coming down takes one hour depending on clients’ ability. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the late evening, drive to Kigali city for dinner and overnight stay at the booked hotel.

Day 18
After breakfast, visit Kigali city and especially the memorial sites in town and the Kimilonko market craft shops where clients are able to choose the best craft materials of their choice. Return to the booked hotel for lunch, afternoon relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 19
Transfer to Kanombe international airport for departure back home.
