Mabamba swamp is found on Lake Victoria that’s accessible via Masaka/Entebbe road. Connecting to the main fishing villages of Busi Island.The Swamp is at Kasanje town in a hilly area. Fishing is the main occupation with likes of Tilapia, Lung fish and Papyrus vegetation. The swamp is best owed with 33 important bird species like the shoe bill stork, papyrus gonolek and blue swallow especially at Ramsar site a centre of international tourist attraction that was designated on 15th September 2006.

Arrive at the hotel and greet your visitors, proceed to Mombasa swamp using Nakiwogo. This route of Uganda is bestowed with 33 bird species with likes of the shoebill stork, papyrus Gonolek and Blue swallow. The tourists are to sail by wooden boats via the swamp searching for shoebill stork that mainly feeds on fish, blue breasted bee eaters, African pygmy’s goose, African & lesser jacanas and Pied king fisher.
The swampy waters experiences cool breezes with a beautiful scenery and vegetation on its shores. The tourists are to spend here a couple of 2 hours explorering this exciting nature. Proceed to Masaka and en route stop at Mpambire Mpigi district, a known site of drum making & learn also about Buganda kingdom biographies. Carry on your return journey to Entebbe airport via Kampala.
